Halleluiah! After years of searching for an awesome ramen place to call my own I have finally found it. Aloha Ramen has been around for a few years now but I never thought to go to Greenwood to get good Asian food. Shame on me for not giving them a try way back when. But now I know, I will be here every week.

So what’s so great about this place? It’s definitely not because it has plenty of seating, there are no lines, or they have awesome hours. There’s only six tables and counter with 6 more seats. Come here during dinner time and you WILL have to wait. But wait, these guys are only open for dinner most days. So just come here expecting to wait at least 10-30 minutes…guaranteed. But the wait is absolute worth it.

As for the food. It is simply the best ramen in Seattle. I got the Pork Katsu Tan Tan Ramen for about $9. The broth had a delicious salty-creamy-spicy flavor to it. The noodles were the perfect consistency…a little soft but not so much that they are mushy. The Katsu was also really crunchy even though it sat in the broth.

I also tried the Garlic fried rice here. The garlic flavor was not too overpowering and they loaded it up with your choice of meat (I chose chicken). The fried onions sprinkled on top was also a nice touch. It was delicious but definitely not the best fried rice I’ve had. It was really an afterthought compared to the ramen.

Note – Also, they give you sooooo much food.
